Personal Background

Damiano Chappini comes from a long line of shoemakers. his father, Luigi, being the master craftsman, from whom, Damiano learnt his trade secrets.

His family experience dates back to the 1930′s, when Luigi as was the custom in those days, travelled door to door to make shoes for his clients completely by hand and to each one’s individual size.

Damiano himself, from those days, as a young boy, grew up with those sound principles of patience, industriousness and attention to detail, that were and are to this day, the heritage left to him by his father.

Having become a craftsman himself, at the age of twenty, by the end of the 1970′s, Damiano has continued with his traditional craft of making footwear totally by hand and to fit personal tastes and sizes. In time he has refined and improved his work, adopting new materials and modernized techniques in order to achieve a product which can be defined as original and “oneof-a-kind” in its field.

In fact, every client, after choosing the style, last, leather and lining he prefers is individully measured and can then be certain of having exclusive personalized shoes to meet his tastes and that are high quality, comfortable and long-lasting.
